Enlightening Temple Solstice Event

Tuesday, June 18 through Sunday, June 23, 2024

Considerations, Conditions, and Risks

  • The temple is a 45+ minute drive from Santa Fe, with the last 15 minutes on winding, rough roads. Please plan to participate in organized carpools to travel back and forth between Santa Fe and the Temple.
  • The walking trails at the Temple traverse uneven, hilly, and rocky terrain. The grounds, including certain portions of foot paths, are not fully cleared of rocks, stumps, cactus, protruding branches, and other obstacles, Special alertness when walking and good hiking shoes are recommended. Using a flashlight and walking with a companion are strongly encouraged after dark. If you have any physical challenges that may make it difficult for you to walk on the trails, please notify us before registering.
  • Encounters with insects, animals, and other wildlife are possible on the property. Event participants are required to carefully follow event rules and procedures designed to prevent unwanted encounters. PLEASE NOTE: Basic first aid kits are on hand. But know that if you use an inhaler and/or may have the need for Epinephrine, you are responsible for bringing your own medication for self-administration. We do not have these things on hand.
  • The Temple is about 9,000 feet above sea level. We recommend you bring sun protection, and plan to drink lots of water to stay hydrated. In addition, because there can be unexpected wind and precipitation, please bring layers of clothes and rain gear.
  • There will be two port-a-potties available, but no running water or other infrastructure. Toilet paper and hand sanitizer will be provided. And we are planning to have one solar shower.
  • Everyone is expected to play a role or help out during this 6-day event. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities, as well as many tasks that will need to be done. If at any time during the event you feel unable to continue with any role or activity (either physically or for any other reason), you are responsible for immediately notifing an event leader. Your well-being is our concern.
  • You can travel back and forth each day, or camp on the Temple property. If you opt to camp, you will need to provide your own tent (or camper) plus bedding.
  • The following will be provided for all participants: meals • drinking and bathing water • plates, bowls, cups, and utensils • seating for dining and other activities • two port-a-potties • solar shower.
  • An event donation of $600 – $1,200 per person is required.

Please register by filling out the form below. When you click “Submit” the payment page will appear.
